Amanda is originally from Brunswick, Ohio, and she stayed in the state to attend Ohio Northern University. After receiving her BS in biochemistry, Amanda moved to Greenville, North Carolina to receive her MS in chemistry at East Carolina University. There, her research focused on the allosteric regulation and thermal activation network of a human lipoxygenase, which sparked her interest in enzymes. She is excited to continue researching enzymes and biocatalysis in the Buller Lab. In her free time, Amanda enjoys going out and exploring Wisconsin but also staying in and finding new recipes or shows to try.
